MearVPN for iPhone
MearVPN is a client for your own servers: the app has no servers and no subscription of its own. Here is how to get started, what to do when something does not work, and how to reach us.
Getting started
- Get a vless:// link, an https subscription link or a WireGuard configuration in the wg-quick format from your provider or your own server.
- Open the Configs tab and paste the link, scan a QR code with the camera, or add the subscription.
- Tap the configuration to make it active and connect on the Shield screen. The first time, iOS asks you to allow a VPN configuration.

What do I need to use MearVPN?
Your own server, or a provider that gives you a vless:// link, an https subscription link or a WireGuard configuration in the wg-quick format. MearVPN has no servers of its own and sells no access to any.
iOS asks to add a VPN configuration — is that expected?
Yes. Every VPN app on iPhone works through the iOS VPN system, which asks for your permission once. If you declined, tap Connect again and choose Allow.
The app says the profile is switched off in system settings
Open Settings → VPN and turn MearVPN on. If that does not help, remove the MearVPN profile there and connect again — the app creates a new one.
The subscription does not load
Only https addresses are accepted. Check that the link opens in Safari and returns a list of configurations rather than a web page. The app names the exact reason: no connection, the server's status code, a response that is too large, or no supported links inside.
The tunnel is connected, but nothing loads
The Shield screen shows received and sent counters. If sent keeps growing while received stays at zero, the server is not answering — check the link with your provider. In Settings you can copy the tunnel log with the exact error and send it to your provider or to us.
There is no internet while the tunnel is off
That is the kill switch: while it is on, iOS lets no traffic out outside the tunnel. Turn it off in the app's Settings, or connect.
How do I delete my data?
Delete your configurations in the app — their links and keys leave the Keychain. Deleting the app removes the rest. We hold no data about you on our side; the privacy policy has the details.
